Tensions are running high with the threat of nuclear war between North Korea and the United States, and Arts & Sciences faculty are using their expertise to weigh in.
Larry Kuznar (professor, anthropology) wrote a column in the Journal Gazette entitled “Trump’s Words Feed Paranoia in N. Korea.” In it, Kuznar discusses how North Korea’s leader, Kim Jung Un, uses specific language right before he accelerates the country’s nuclear weapons program. Kuznar calls the recent exchange between Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump “unsettling,” and warns that US leaders need to treat the matter with care to deter nuclear war. Read the full article.
