Grant Awarded for Holocaust Education Networking Event

Associate Professor Lee M. Roberts (German) received a $3000 grant from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. The grant will fund a single-day event in Fort Wayne designed to help teachers, university faculty, and other interested parties establish a network of like-minded individuals who will support Holocaust education throughout Indiana. As Roberts notes, the network can “connect IPFW students across the disciplines who are interested in Holocaust teaching and research with their peers at other institutions and can also promote participation in events on topics related to the Holocaust.”

Roberts is the interim associate director of the Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at IPFW and was project manager of the first IPFW Holocaust Education Symposium for Pre-Service Teachers in May 2016.
